Front and Back Yards

The front yard is beautifully maintained throughout the year.  There is a private stone patio in the back that looks out on a beautiful courtyard. This is the common area that is behind the unit. The complex is very quiet and peaceful. The units are owned by people as second homes, so there is rarely anyone around.

Village of East Hampton Windmill

EH Windmill
Originally uploaded by East Hampton Rental
The Village of East Hampton was founded in 1648. It is one of America's earliest English settlements. The Village of East Hampton still provides a rich record of the architecture and agricultural way of life in early America. The Village's wide Main Street, the Village Green, Town Pond, South End Burial Ground, and the area around Hook Mill are all remnants of the Village's original seventeenth century design. Remaining historic houses and farmhouses, barns, outbuildings, fences, pastures, windmills, and schools accent what has been called "America's most beautiful village."

The Village of East Hampton is an approximately sixteen square mile parcel of land adorned with ponds, wetlands, large, open public greens, farmland, and woodland. The entire southern border of the Village of East Hampton is one of the world's most beautiful ocean beaches. The white, wide, sandy beach and dunes provide an expansive vista of the Atlantic ocean. The estates and homes along the roads from Main Street to the ocean are among the most impressive and valuable in the country.

The Village of East Hampton is famous for a reason. There is a special quality here that you feel as soon as you arrive. The air is cleaner, the light is brighter, there are more stars in the night sky, and you feel like a weight has been lifted from your shoulders whenever you come.

East Hampton Sunset

East Hampton sunsets are amazing! There are many great places to be when the sun goes down. Many people bring a blanket and have wine and cheese right on the beach. If you have a beach driving pass, you can pull right up on the beach, open the back of your car, and have a picnic as the sun goes down. You can even dig a pit on the beach, have a fire to stay warm at night, and spend quality time with the people you care about most.
This property in East Hampton is located right in the village, so you are an easy bike ride, or 2 minute car ride from some of the most beautiful beaches in the world!

East Hampton Mansions

There are some amazing mansions in East Hampton! The East Hampton mansion shown in this picture is HUGE! It looks big enough to be a college campus! Someone told me the cost was in excess of $100 million dollars. That's right, 100,000,000 dollars!

The funny thing is, most of these homes are unused for most of the year. I hope one day we can all afford to spend $100 million on a home we use a few weeks out of the year!

Aside from that, I enjoy riding my bike throughout East Hampton looking at the beautiful homes. The back roads are usually very quiet with not many cars. I like biking by the homes better than driving, because you see more. The architecture and landscaping of these East Hampton mansions is breathtaking!

I Love East Hampton Beaches!

East Hampton has miles and miles of unspoiled beach. You won't see cheesy boardwalks or bars here! What you will see are beaches that travel magazines have rated as in the top 10 in the world!

Some of the East Hampton beaches have protected wildlife sections, so please respect our animal friends!

It really is a special thing to walk an East Hampton beach. There are beautiful mansions set back from the beach belonging to the rich and famous. Sometimes you will stroll along side them on the beach!

With so many great beaches in East Hampton, you are sure to find one to your liking. Only a few have facilities and lifeguards, so you get to choose if you want a beach you can swim at and have lunch, or just bask in the sun away from the crowds. Either way, a day on an East Hampton beach is something you'll really enjoy!

From the rental property, you can take a 2 minute drive to the nearest of the beaches, or a 7 minute bike ride, or a 15 minute walk.

One of many East Hampton Beaches

East Hampton has many secluded beaches. There are not the "main beaches" that everyone goes to. When I need to get away from everything and forget the world for a while, I go to one of these many gems.

It's hard to believe there are places like this that exist in New York! The quiet East Hampton beaches allow you freedom from the crowds, romantic spots for relaxing, or just a different way to spend the day.

There are many different secluded East Hampton beaches within a 10 minute drive of the rental property.

East Hampton hiking

Hiking in East Hampton is one of my favorite activities. You can choose from trails through the woods, along the beach, to hidden ponds, and more.

A hike in East Hampton is relaxing. There are usually very few other people on the trails. You are surrounded by pristine nature and beauty. Sometimes you feel like you are on the Discovery Channel!

From the rental property, there are trails that are walking distance, and dozens of trails are within a 15 minute ride.

East Hampton Winery

The wineries in East Hampton are a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Most have tastings you can attend, and some even offer the complete experience including cheese and crackers to go with the wine!

Visiting an East Hampton winery is a special experience. The views are great, the wine is top notch, you are relaxed in a beautiful, romantic setting, and can even purchase some East Hampton wine to take home with you!

There are several wineries within a 15 minute drive of the rental property.

Seals in Montauk, East Hampton

During certain times of the year, families of seals can be seen at Montauk! Most people don't know that there are seals in the Hamptons! I guess even seals need a summer home :)

From the East Hampton rental property, a leisurely 25 minute drive to Montauk will bring you to a series of hiking trails. One of these trails will take you to a section of the beach where you can observe the seals playing!

Please respect the privacy of the seals in Montauk, and don't get too close :)

East Hampton Swans

Each year, the East Hampton swans make their nest on the pond in the center of town. They're a cute couple, aren't they?
People stop by all the time to say hi to the swans of East Hampton, and take their picture. If you stop to see the swans, please respect their privacy and don't get to close to the nest :)
East Hampton has many things like this which make it such a charming place to spend your summer!
The pond is less than a 15 minute walk from the rental property.

The red dot is where the rental property is located. You have the convenience of being in the Village of East Hampton, yet have PRIVACY, a combination nearly impossible to find!
